Whitetail Deer Hunting |
Chattokee Lodge will be offering 8 Whitetail deer hunts for the 2010-11 season. Hunts are 100% fair chase; no fences or supplemental feeding, just sound deer management. We have been managing our deer herd for 18 years and it is evident from the picture above, taken in one of our soybean fields in summer 08, we have done a pretty good job. All hunts will be 3 or 4 days and each hunter is allowed 1 trophy buck and 3 does. Northeast Alabama is not known for "giant" bucks but our guests will have an excellent opportunity to harvest a 125" to 140" buck. We do impose harvest restrictions and fines will be levied for shooting and undersized buck. Most of our shooting houses and tripods are overlooking green fields or are situated in travel corridors. It is not uncommon to see 5 to 7 good bucks a day during the rut. We will accommodate a maximum of 4 hunters and require a minimum of 2 to book a hunt.
